Lifecast Dog Paws A dog is always regarded as part of the family and rightly so. They can grow up with the children until they reach an age where it’s difficult for them to carry on.

At Bodyrock Sculptures we finally give our dog lovers a chance to hold onto some precious memories by having your dog paws life cast before your eyes. What is produced is dog paw, not a dog print.

When we arrive at your household we will apply Vaseline first to the dogs paws to protect its hairs which makes the paw easier to come out. We will then mix the alginate and place it into a bowl in front of your dog. We, or the owner if the dog feels more comfortable with this, will then place the paw into the lukewarm alginate solution. The paw is removed once the alginate sets, normally taking about a minute.

Please, please be aware that if you feel that your dog will not take kindly to strangers or have an urge to bite, it would therefore be best to leave the casting altogether. The life caster has the option to turn down the casting if they feel that there is any danger.

Please also check with your vet to see if your dog is allergic to Vaseline or alginate. A data sheet on the alginate is available if requested.
